etām — this; vibhūti — divine opulences; yogam — mystic power; ca — and; mama — My; yaḥ — who; vetti — knows; tattvataḥ — truly; saḥ — he; avikalpena — without wavering; yogena — by yoga (devotional service); yujyate — is united; na — not; atra — here; saṁśayaḥ — doubt.

Understanding the Verse

In this verse, Lord Krishna elucidates the relationship between true knowledge of His divine manifestations and the resultant unwavering devotion. The term vibhūti denotes the magnificent, wondrous attributes and powers that emanate from the Supreme Personality of Godhead. These are not merely external miracles but the intrinsic qualities that pervade all of creation. When a seeker discerns these opulences tattvataḥ—in their ultimate, factual sense—he transcends superficial worship and attains a profound, intimate awareness of the Lord’s nature.

The word yoga here signifies the spiritual discipline of devoted service, a union of heart and mind with the Divine. Krishna emphasizes that this yoga, when practiced without avikalpa (wavering or doubt), becomes the binding force that draws the seeker into the Lord’s personal abode. The phrase so'vikampena yogena yujyate conveys that through steadfast, compassionate yoga, the knower is directly connected to the Supreme. This connection is not a fleeting sentiment but an enduring, soul‑level merger that steadies the practitioner amidst the vicissitudes of worldly life.

The concluding affirmation na‑atra saṁśayaḥ—"there is no doubt here"—serves as both a logical conclusion and a promise. Once the true nature of the Divine’s opulences is comprehended, the mind’s inherent scepticism dissolves. The seeker’s intellect, heart, and will align in harmonious certainty. This certainty is essential for spiritual progress because doubt is the primary obstacle that fragments devotion and stalls advancement on the path.

Krishna’s statement also subtly instructs aspirants on the method of realization. It is not enough to merely hear about divine miracles; one must internalize them through contemplative study, meditation, and sincere service. The process of jnana‑yoga (knowledge) blends seamlessly with bhakti‑yoga (devotion), each reinforcing the other. Knowledge brings reverence, while devotion deepens understanding, culminating in an unshakable bond with the Divine.

Thus, Chapter 10 Verse 7 encapsulates a core Gita teaching: authentic recognition of the Lord’s supreme qualities inevitably leads to a devoted practice that is free from doubt. This synergy of knowledge and devotion forms the cornerstone of spiritual emancipation, guiding the seeker toward ultimate liberation (moksha).
